Road Safety Week Kick Starts in Green Land Sr. Sec Public School in Ludhiana

To inculcate the culture of road safety, Green Land Sr. Sec. Public school in Ludhiana, in collaboration with traffic department of Ludhiana, declared to observe Road Safety Week from 11th Jan, 2015 to 17th Jan, 2015. On the first day (11th Jan, 2015) an Inter School Declamation and Slogan Writing Contests were organized in which the teams of 20 CBSE & Punjab Board schools of Ludhiana participated and manifested their concern over the lack of traffic in our country. Mr. Naveen Singla (IPS) DCP, Ludhiana and Mr. Anil Garg, PCS, DTO, Ludhiana marked the occasion with their gracious presence. The distinguished guests were welcomed by Mr. Rajesh Rudhra, Chairman cum Director of the Chain of Green Land Schools, Mr. Shabad Rudhra President, and Mrs. Baldeep Pandher, Principal of Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School in Ludhiana. The guests were given a guard of honour by 3 Punjab Battalion NCC. The programme was given an auspicious start with Shabad singing and Saraswati Vandana.

The theme of Declamation Contest “Road Safety is not just a slogan but a way of life” was lived upon in various speeches delivered by the students in all three languages – English, Hindi and Punjabi.

Green Land Senior Secondary Public School in Ludhiana Admission 2015-16

Prior registration is required for admission. After registration, the child will sit for the entrance test. This test is the deciding factor for the child’s admission to this school. For admission to Pre-Nursery and Nursery classes, only simple interview will be held. The nature of the interview will be about general routine of the child and his family. Regarding admission, the decision of the school Principal will be final. Principal is not bound to give any reason for rejection.

A Salute to the “ODYSSEY” of freedom struggle at Green Land School in Ludhiana

The students of class VII-XII made posters to salute the martyrs on the theme of Patriotism, Liberty, Fraternity & Brotherhood with captions which read as; Let my country awake this Independence Day’, ‘Its Independence Day of our freedom, freedom of our souls’, ‘Let’s honor the Patriotism of the people who lost their lives to free India and deepen our love for her….’. Etc. In poster making competition Jagriti House stood First, Kirti House got Second position and Third position was won by Shakti House. 

A Poetry Recitation Competition was also held at Green Land Convent School in Ludhiana, Subhash Nagar. The theme of the Poetry Recitation was Patriotism. In which Tanya (V) stood first, Anjali (VI) got second position and Bhawanpreet (VI) won third prize.
